Nikki Williams apologises to SA

Bloemfontein – Nikki Wiliams, the South African who married Weston Cage – son of actor Nicolas Cage, has apologised to "her country" for all the drama that took place the past few weeks.

During an interview with Die Burger Nikki Wiliams explained that the high drama, domestic violence and even a short visit to jail can all be ascribed to jumbled hormones.

The couple were arrested last week on charges of domestic violence after Williams allegedly cut her husband’s arm with a broken bottle.

But now the pair are more in love than ever before.

Cage was released on bail a while ago, but Williams spent four days in jail. The pair are expecting their first child.

Apology

“It is really difficult to marry into a famous family. But I really want to apologise to my country for the mess.”

Williams said that all the media attention is very upsetting. “I did not ask for all this publicity.”

She also mentions that she regrets drinking while pregnant. “I never should have done that. Even if it was just that one time. But I learned my lesson in jail. It was awful.”

She concluded by saying that even though her “hormones are crazy”, the pregnancy is going well.
