Nonhle calls Bassie an 'old has been'

Cape Town – Twitter-terror Nonhle Thema, 29, is calling Basetsana Kumalo an "old has been" after the 37-year-old media industry veteran pointedly and very publicly showed Thema to sit down.

Nonhle Thema's surprising and shocking Twitter tirades have been making waves in the past few months, and they are continuing unabated.

The once media-darling who is no longer on television has now seemingly found a new target in the widely-respected Basetsana Kumalo, executive producer for SABC3's Top Billing.

"My mom had haters cos of her beauty. Today I have OLD has beens as haters who only make the papers cos of me," Thema tweeted.

This tweet came after Kumalo, affectionately known as Bassie, blatantly refused to pose for pictures with Thema at the launch party for Kenny Kunene's new reality show KK – So What in Sandton, Johannesburg.

After Thema's very public snub by Basetsana, The Daily Sun quoted the former Miss South Africa as saying "Nonhle's utterances on Twitter are unacceptable" and that "you must treat people as you would want them to treat you. Nonhle has much to learn if she wants to have a long life in this industry."

Thema tweeted in response: "Some OLD has been must SIT DOWN. Her time is up."
