Orlando Bloom puts Hollywood Hills mansion on the market

Los Angeles - Orlando Bloom has put his Hollywood Hills home up for sale for $4.5m.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom mansion was being rented out for $16 500-a-month from August 2013 and boasts a spacious master bedroom with a homely fireplace, a chef's kitchen and luxurious a living room.

According to Redfin.com, the 3 248 square-feet property, which is surrounded by a number of trees for privacy, also comes with a pool, spa and ample space to host a BBQ outdoors.

Orlando originally bought the property in 2007 for $2.75m, shortly after in 2009 it was targeted by a number of teenagers, who later became known as the Bling Ring - also referred to as the Hollywood Hills Burglars.

The gang which included seven youngsters based around Calabasas, California, were involved in a spate of high-profile burglaries where they were looking to steal cash and belongings from a number of celebrity homes.

They cut through a security fence at Orlando's home in a bid to steal the lingerie of the actor's wife, former Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr - who was at the time his girlfriend.
They took number of high end pieces of clothing, Orlando's Rolex watch collection, Louis Vuitton luggage, and artworks which amounted to almost half a million dollars.

A film adaptation of the burglaries was released in June 2013 directed by Sofia Coppola and starring Emma Watson as Nick Prugo.

Orlando and Miranda moved to New York City this summer as the hunk is currently performing every night in a new Broadway theatre production of Romeo and Juliet, in which he plays the titular character.
