Pippa Middleton gets armoured car

London - Pippa Middleton's worried parents have bought her an armoured car.

The sister of Britain's Duchess Catherine - who came to worldwide attention when she acted as maid of honour at her sibling's wedding to Prince William in April - will reportedly be ferried around in a £95 000 bomb-proof vehicle, similar to those used by the British royals.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Carole and Michael have taken a raft of measures following advice from one of William's most trusted bodyguards.

"Pippa's car will have all the latest security devices, including armour plating. It will be bomb proof."

The car will also feature a panic button linked to the police, and would "still be able to drive if the tyres are shot out".

Taking a break

Pippa - who is thought to be taking a three month break from her relationship with Alex Loudon - is reportedly planning to move to the South of France and set up a party planning business.

A source said: "Pippa and Alex and going to have a three-month separation.

"She is keen to spend some time living abroad - she's a massive fan of the South of France and hopes to work there and have a base there a bit more permanently.

"She's an amazing social networker and wants to throw the biggest and best parties.

"She'd love to work on events around the Cannes Film Festival."
