London - Prince Harry is distantly related to his new girlfriend.
The 26-year-old royal recently began dating Florence Brudenell-Bruce, his eighth cousin, who is also the seventh cousin once removed of his mother Princess Diana and his father's new wife Camilla Parker Bowles, according to The Sun.
A source said: "Florence is surrounded by so much blue blood that she's tinged with royalty even without the close attentions of Prince Harry."
Florence, 25 - who is known by the name Flee to most of her friends - and Harry have the common relative Sir Edward Walpole, the son of Britain's first prime minister, Sir Robert Walpole.
Edward - who passed away in 1784 - had a daughter, Maria, who then married into the royal line.
Harry recently split from on/off girlfriend of seven years Chelsy Davy and he and Florence have been meeting up at her flat in Notting Hill, London.
A royal source said: "It's very early days but Harry and Florence are an item. She is a lot of fun, blonde and very good looking. Harry really likes her."
