Prince William won't spoil Prince George on his birthday

Los Angeles - Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine "don't want to go overboard" for Prince George's first birthday.

The royal toddler will celebrate turning one on Tuesday, but his parents have vowed not to spoil with too many presents.

A source told Usmagazine.com: "George will be getting clothes and wooden toys from mum and dad for his birthday.

"William and Catherine don't want to go overboard. He has been given so many gifts over the months and there's only so much space to store them."

The royal couple celebrated with a party at Catherine's mother and father's house on Sunday, and there will be another celebration on his actual birthday held at Kensington Palace in London.

A spokesperson for the palace said: "The family is marking it privately with close family and friends at Kensington Palace."

Another source says the celebration will most likely be an indoor tea party although it "may extend to the garden if the weather remains glorious".

The palace party will include George's great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, uncle Prince Harry, and Catherine's family the Middletons, and aunt Pippa and grandmother Carole recently visited baby store Blue Almonds in London to pick out a special birthday outfit for George.
