London - Britain's Queen Elizabeth could be related to Johnny Depp.
The 85-year-old monarch and the Pirates of the Caribbean star have been revealed to be 20th cousins by ancestry experts, although the claim - which relies on an unreported but well known marriage between Yorkshireman Richard Denton and Helen Windebank in the 1600s - cannot be verified 100%.
Dr Nick Barratt said: "When I examined Johnny's history I discovered a likely connection to the royal family. I believe the balance of probability is that there is indeed a link between Depp and the royals but I doubt we'll ever be able to prove it 100%."
Meanwhile, a huge security operation has begun in the Republic of Ireland ahead of Queen Elizabeth's visit on Tuesday.

Up to 4000 people are involved in the planning with restrictions set to be put in place in more than 30 streets in the capital, Dublin.
Despite the security concerns - due to threats from dissident republicans - Irish president Mary McAleese has called the upcoming visit an "extraordinary moment in Irish history".
She told national broadcaster RTE: "It is a phenomenal sign and signal of the success of the peace process and absolutely the right moment for us to welcome on to Irish soil her majesty the queen, the head of state of our immediate next-door neighbours, the people with whom we are forging a new future - a future very, very different from the past, on very different terms from the past.
"And I think that visit will send the message that we are, both jurisdictions, determined to make the future a much, much better place."
