Robin Thicke in car crash

Los Angeles - Robin Thicke has been involved in a nasty car crash.

The 34-year-old singer - who is married to Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol star Paula Patton - smashed into a parked Volkswagen in his black Porsche on Tuesday on Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard. No one sustained any injuries.

Robin informed police officers that another car cut him off as he pulled onto the famous strip to leave the Chateau Marmont Hotel, and when he swerved to avoid the vehicle he hit the parked motor, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

One of his back wheels was left completely smashed in as a result of the crash, which left serious damage to the front and back end of his car.

No criminal investigation

Both vehicles were towed away from the scene and Robin was driven home by police officers after giving them a statement.

Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash and there is no criminal investigation.

The incident comes after Robin was arrested for marijuana possession in February after officials spotted him lighting up while in the back of a Cadillac Escalade in Manhattan near Madison Square Park.

A police source said at the time: "He wasn't driving. He was sitting in the car. He was arrested with a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him.''

The singer was charged and taken to the police station, where he was issued a summons before being dismissed.
