Russell Brand tears journalist apart in new interview

London - Wherever Russell Brand goes, controversy is sure to follow.

The 38-year-old comedian did his very best to get under the skin of Newsnight's Jeremy Paxman during a recent interview.

Asked by Paxman why he doesn’t vote, Brand answered: "It is not that I am not voting out of apathy. I am not voting out of absolute indifference and weariness and exhaustion from the lies, treachery and deceit of the political class that has been going on for generations."

He further announced that he wants to start a revolution and suggested that politicians were only interested in "serving the needs of corporations" and that an administrative system based on the "massive redistribution of wealth" should replace the status quo.

This isn’t the first time Brand has gone all-out at a journalist on-air. The funny man also lost his cool on MSNBC's Morning Joe during an interview in June this year calling the host a "shaft grasper" and advising her to "lose the wedding ring".

He also compared her hair style to that of the late Princess Diana.
