Los Angeles - Ryan Gosling is reportedly planning to propose to Eva Mendes.
Eva, 39, has apparently told Ryan she wants to be engaged by the time she turns 40, and it seems the 32-year-old actor has been listening as he has been busy planning a proposal.
A source told America's Star magazine: “Eva told Ryan she wants to be engaged by the time she's 40, but he was already planning a proposal. He's been in secret talks with ring designer Neil Lane.”
Ryan is currently shooting his directorial debut How to Catch a Monster - which stars Doctor Who actor Matt Smith - and has arranged a mini-vacation for the pair, during which he is going to pop the question.
The source added: “He's planning a romantic getaway once their movie How To Catch A Monster wraps. He tricked her into believing the trip is to celebrate the movie. Eva is completely clueless.”
Eva also stars in How to Catch a Monster and the couple have been very public with their affections on set, and have been barely able to keep their hands off one another.
An insider previously revealed: “They aren't exactly discreet. Ryan will be totally focused, then she'll throw him off by giving him a saucy look.
“The next thing you know, they've kicked everyone out of the room so they can 'talk'.”
