Los Angeles - Ryan Murphy has become a father for the first time.
The Glee creator and his husband David Miller announced the birth of son Logan Phineas in an e-mail to family and friends on Christmas Eve, with the message accompanied by a picture of the baby inside a Christmas stocking, E! News has revealed.
"Logan Phineas Miller Murphy, Born December 24, 2012 9:47 am," the announcement read.
Details of the little boy's birth mother have not yet been disclosed.
Doing what they want
The happy news comes just a few months after Ryan revealed he was excited at the prospect of being a parent in the future.
"I think I'll be incredibly fun and overwhelmed and all about manners. People always say when you have a child it brings you back to when you were a kid, and I'm excited to do that. I had a very rocky, difficult, emotional childhood with my parents," he said.
"And then I'm excited to have somebody or something come in and say, 'Really? I don't care what you think. I'm going to do what I want."
