Ryan was 'n real little hell raiser

Los Angeles - Ryan Reynolds was a ''complete asshole'' as a kid.

The hunky actor plays a police officer tasked with hunting down the living dead in new movie R.I.P.D., but if the roles were reversed he fears he would have a lot to answer for, as he was a tearaway teen who wreaked havoc on his neighbours.

He said: “When I was a little kid - maybe nine or 10 - I was a complete asshole. I would run around the neighbourhood on Halloween throwing firecrackers in peoples' mailboxes, at their houses, and things like that.

“We were just these little hell raisers. I'm sure I have a lot to atone for, if there is a judgment day. It's going to be a long list for me. It goes right up until I was about 18 and then I sort of straightened out.”

More serious incident

The 36-year-old star now fears his wild ways may rub off on his future offspring when he has children with wife Blake Lively.

He added: ''I'm so terrified that I'm going to have sons one day who behave this way.''

While his childish pranks may seem harmless, Ryan went on to hint that he was involved in a far more illicit incident which is so grave he it goes “beyond” a simple arrest.

He teased to Collider.com: “When I was 18 years old, I was pretty reckless. I know there's a statute of limitations, so I don't really want to get into it right now. I'm sure that if I said it, it's beyond the point of being arrested for. But yeah, I have a few choice nuggets that I'm not going to talk about.”
