Sam Smith burgled while at Glastonbury

London - Sam Smith's home was burgled while he was at Glastonbury.

The Stay With Me hitmaker spent his weekend at the legendary music festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, South West England but returned home to find that thieves had taken advantage of his absence by helping themselves to his possessions.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Sam and his friends were all down at the festival when the break-in happened.

"They took a number of items from his property.

"Sam was gutted when he got back. He's clearly paying the price of fame."

However, it's not the first time the 22-year-old star - who performed his own set and joined Disclosure on stage during the music event - has been the victim of a robbery, as Sam's south London flat was also broken into earlier this year and he is now thinking of moving house.

The source added: "Sam loves where he lives but his management are looking to move him somewhere else as his current place is not very secure."

Meanwhile, the Money on My Mind singer admitted on the weekend that his favourite thing about the music festival was seeing people covered in dirt.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz, he said: "What do I love about Glastonbury? Mud on sexy bodies!"
