Samsung’s naughty 'penis' billboard is a fake

Cape Town – A photo of a Samsung billboard displaying a rather awkward spelling mistake is a fake, a Samsung spokesperson told Channel24 on Wednesday.

According to reports earlier in the week, the billboard - which reads "The penis, mightier than the finger" instead of the original idiom "the pen is mightier than the sword" – was erected in Egypt, Pakistan, Kenya and France.

Samsung provided the following statement regarding the photo of the billboard: "The alleged typo on a Galaxy Note 10.1 billboard, of course, is fake. Attached is the actual photo from Cromford Road, London as well as the link on Google maps of the actual site below."
