Sandra Bullock leads tributes to Jackie Collins

Los Angeles - Sandra Bullock has led tributes to the late Jackie Collins.

The novelist passed away at the age of 77 after a six-year battle with breast cancer and the Miss Congeniality actress - who starred in a TV series based on her best-selling books - has praised the ''smart and talented'' author.

In a statement, she said: ''That smart, talented, and gorgeous woman paved the road for so many of us so that we could experience a much smoother journey ... with or without heels. Heaven ... watch out!''

Sharon Osbourne also took to Twitter to pay tribute, captioning a photograph of the pair: ''Shocked & devastated at the death of @JackiejCollins. Loved & respected her. Thoughts & prayers go out to her family. (sic)''

Whilst former Spice Girl, Mel B, wrote: ''Can't believe it, my prayers and love go out to her and her family RIP Jackie man will she be missed. (sic)''

Paying a picture tribute to Jackie, Kathy Griffin remembered a ''fearless and naughty'' star.

She wrote: ''In Hawaii w my pal. Brilliant, fearless, beautiful, funny, naughty, LOYAL, brave...I'm crushed. @jackiejcollins (sic)''

Whilst Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kris Jenner wrote: ''I'm so sad to hear about the passing of Jackie Collins..my love and prayers go out to her family and friends and to her sister Joan..what an amazing woman.... It was a joy and honor to have known her. @jackiejcollins @joancollinsdbe #love (sic)''

Jackie is survived by her three daughters - Rory, Tiffany and Tracy.
