Shia LaBeouf removed from Broadway theatre by police for disorderly conduct

New York - Police say Shia LaBeouf has been taken out of a New York City theatre for being disorderly and causing a disruption.

It happened on Thursday night at Studio 54 in Manhattan during a performance of the Broadway show Cabaret.

A spokesperson for the show says the actor was "disruptive during act one" and was escorted out of the theatre at intermission.

The 28-year-old, whose films include Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Disturbia and Wall Street Never Sleeps, is in police custody and can't be reached for comment. A message seeking comment from a representative for him hasn't been returned.

He was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

Police are continuing to investigate what happened.
