Simon Cowell prefers black toilet paper

Los Angeles - Simon Cowell insists on having only black toilet paper in his house.

The 52-year-old X Factor creator - who earns an estimated £45m a year - refuses to have regular white toilet rolls in his luxury Beverly Hills mansion, and also splurges £3 000 a week on flowers.

'Attracted to crazy women'

Simon's quirky lifestyle habits have been revealed in a new unauthorised biography titled Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell, as excepted in The Sun newspaper, which also claims he has had a special feature installed at his £20m home which makes it look like he is walking on water.

Written by journalist Tom Bower, the book has been making waves all week with revelations that Simon had a fling with fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue when she first joined the show in 2007.

It also tells how Simon considered his short-lived engagement to make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy - which ended after a series of bitter arguments - to have been a "big mistake" which he paid for by giving her a £5m house as a parting gift.

Explaining the demise of their relationship, he is said to have told friends: "I don't blame her. I'm attracted to crazy women. I encourage crazy behaviour and I make them crazy.

"I'm attracted to certain personalities who are difficult to control. So there are tantrums, tears and fights, which is all part of the drama. My life is really odd.

"Every girl wants to be number one and they're very territorial. I like the fight, because otherwise I'd have a dull group of girlfriends."
