Lauren Silverman's 10-year marriage to Andrew Silverman, with whom she reached an amicable settlement in August, was legally dissolved in the New York Civil Court on Wednesday, according to People.com.
The socialite, who is expecting a baby boy with The X Factor boss in February, previously agreed to share joint custody of her and Andrew's seven-year-old son, Adam, and the brunette beauty allegedly walked away from her marriage with more than $2 million despite having an affair with Simon.
Free to marry again
Lauren, 36, is now free to tie the knot with the British star, who has frequently hinted about his desire to marry her.
In October the 54-year-old music mogul posted a series of cryptic messages on Twitter promising his fans some exciting news in the near future, which is rumoured to be the announcement of his engagement.
He wrote on the social networking site:
Excited to reveal some news in the next few weeks. Am feeling very positive right now. It's been hard work but nothing should be too easy.

In life you can obsess on other people's failures or focus on your own mistakes and work hard to make sure you don't repeat them.

But hard work and focus gives you a chance to turn a corner. And that's how I am feeling right now.

Wedding rumours
The pair are tipped to head down the aisle early next year following the birth of their baby boy.
Lauren is said to have agreed to wed in a traditional church ceremony near her future mother-in-law's home in Sussex, South East England, and they will also have a ''blessing'' in her native US.
