Singer wants teen underwear thief to be arrested

London - One Direction star Liam Payne has called for his underpants thief to be arrested.

The pop heartthrob was left embarrassed when a female fan scaled the walls of his Australian hotel and stole his boxers from a second floor balcony last week, and he is still upset by the odd events.

He told the New Zealand Herald newspaper: "It was a bit scary to be fair because when you're naked and there's a stranger looking through the window ... If you turn it the other way round and I'd been looking at her naked through a window, I'd have been straight off to jail!"

The 20-year-old star admits he was shaken when confronted by a young teenage fan "peering through" his bedroom door and didn't know how to react when his underwear - which had been left to dry by a maid - were snatched.

He added: "I was in bed and I heard something bang on the balcony, so I woke up. My door didn't close properly and she started trying to open the door. I was like, 'What do I do? I'm naked!' I've got like no resources around me to not be naked, so I just started shouting for my security guy and then she ran off."

Meanwhile, rapper Professor Green has hit out at Liam and his Best Song Ever bandmates - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - branding their amassed collection of tattoos "thoughtless".

Green - who has the word "lucky" tattooed on his neck where he was stabbed with a broken bottle in May 2009 - said: "You get all these young kids like those boys in One Direction who go crazy and start tattooing their bodies all over. You never know, they might like them in a few years or they could be really sad about it."
