Snooki's parenting advice for Wills, Kate

Los Angeles - Snooki has some tips for expectant parents Prince William and Duchess Catherine.

The royal couple announced on Monday that the duchess is expecting their first child and Jersey Shore star Snooki - who gave birth to son Lorenzo Dominic LaValle in August - advised the couple to enjoy every minute.

She told the New York Daily News: "It's hard, but don't stress out. Enjoy your pregnancy and be excited.

"Enjoy your time at home - or the castle, in her case - with the baby. Especially the first few months."

However, the royal couple will find it difficult not to "stress out" as they were forced to announce the news before Catherine - previously known as Kate Middleton - reached the 12 week mark in her pregnancy, when she was admitted to hospital with severe morning sickness.

'Delighted'

A statement from Buckingham Palace said: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.

"The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum [morning sickness].

"As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter."
