Soap star unmasked as rape rapper

London – A well-known British soap star has been unmasked as the highly offensive rapper named The Phantom, Mail Online reported.

The Sun newspaper revealed on Friday that Chris Fountain, known for his roles on Holly Oaks and Coronation Street, is the face behind a masked YouTube rapper.

The 25-year-old actor posted numerous videos on YouTube in which his alter-ego raps about raping women, bombing houses and stabbing people in the face with syringes.

In one distasteful clip, Fountain rapped about dragging a girl in pink underwear upstairs, and boasted: “I will fuck anybody up in the worst way, rape a bitch on her birthday.”

The actor, who has since changed the privacy settings on the videos, released a statement in which he said: “The videos were made over a year ago when I was experimenting with music and I’ve not done anything like it since and nor will I.”

An official Twitter account belonging to The Phantom – which reportedly contained a tweet in which he boasts about killing a rap rival – has also been hastily removed.

Fountain shot to fame as Justin Burton in Channel 4 teen drama Hollyoaks before pulling on the skates for an appearance on celebrity talent show Dancing on Ice, where his fancy footwork took him all the way to the final.

He has played mechanic Tommy Duckworth on Coronation Street since 2011but has now suspended pending an investigation into the matter.
