New York – A new Instagram account, that accommodates some of the best dressed people walking the streets of New York City, has reached up to 14 000 followers.

What makes it so different to the million other accounts out there? Well these trendsetters happen to be over the age of 70!

Fashion Grandpas has multiplied in number of followers since it started running in March and aims to embrace all the older folks dressing it up in style.

MailOnline reported that the photos are snapped by Christina Belchere, a 23-year-old fashion PR based in New York. According to Belchere "the cute and sassy grandpas in New York City made it too easy to compile a portfolio and create the account".

Whether this includes tweed blazers, the corduroy trouser or crazy colourful socks, these grandpas dress the part and know how to strut their stuff!
