Taylor Swift hosts a star-studded party to remember!

Los Angeles - Taylor Swift hosted a star-studded 4th of July party on Friday.

The Red hitmaker was joined by a number of her celebrity friends, including Emma Stone and Lena Dunham, to celebrate America's Independence Day at her $17.75m - That's almost R185m to us normal people - waterfront mansion in Rhode Island.

Hart of Dixie star Jaime King, former Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr, 29, and indie-pop singer Ingrid Michaelson, 34, were also in attendance.

The group shared a number of photographs from their fun-filled weekend on Twitter and Instagram, showing them swimming, baking desserts and playing with festive sparklers.

Jaime, 35, posted a video of herself and Taylor jumping into a swimming pool, filled with inflatable toys, on Thursday, with the caption: "There is only ONE ninja turtle in town and that is @taylorswift!"

Girls star Lena, 28, tweeted on Friday: "4th of July is my Coachella. Be free, ya noodles (sic)"

Taylor refused to let the rainy weather put a dampener on the occasion, writing: "When the 4th of July gives you nonstop rain, make a giant slip n slide (sic)."

The group later posed together for what Swift called a "family portrait."

The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma, 25, previously praised Taylor for being a "pretty normal girl" and explained she loves hanging out with the singer because she "has such a sick sense of humour".
