Cape Town - Who needs men when you have girlfriends like these?
Girlfriends help you get through break-ups, mean directors, fashion disasters and tabloid scandals. For Hollywood women anyway. But they also help wile away the boredom, make fun of other equally ridiculous people and organise play dates with their respective children and sometimes husbands.
We've already taken a look at our favourite Hollywood bromances, but now it's the ladies' turn.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez
These two will always be sitting next to each other at any music awards show and Taylor was rumoured to be instrumental in getting the Disney star to quit bad boy Justin Bieber. These two could definitely rule Hollywood in the near future.
On Game of Thrones, these two on-screen sisters may hate each other, but in real life these two make the best Vine videos and Instagram photos on the internet (if you don't believe me check out this Buzzfeed article). Sisterhood happens when you share a hotel room while shooting the best series ever.
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
The two funny ladies cemented their eternal friendship on the sketch show SNL and have had many hosting duties together due their wit and ability to mock each other mercilessly. If these two ever break-up, then there is no hope for the rest of us.
Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy
Bullock and McCarthy only recently came together in hilarious The Heat as two cops on the hunt for a drug dealer, but since then their friendship has blossomed into a beautiful love story filled with comedy, their kids and a weird obsession with renovating.
Kelly Osbourne and Miley Cyrus
Both grew up under the shadow of their muso dads, which gave them a lot in common. Kelly also had her wild phase and hopefully will give Miely some pointers on how to tone it down. Put that tongue away, Miley!
Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King
Although Gayle is only famous because of her friendship with the business tycoon, they have been together for around 35 odd years and we all know who Oprah's real life partner is. Sorry Stedman.
Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz
Charlie's Angels have held on to their bond since the last Angels movie - so much so that Cameron was the maid of honour at Drew's wedding. Friendsbians for life, Drew said in an interview once that they have more of a bromance than anything else.

They have known each other since auditioning for the same commercial, but besides having their roots down under the Aussie actresses have recently starred as two famous princesses, the one Princess Diana and the other Grace of Monaco. Wonder if there isn't some competition going on?
