Usher's stepson hit by family friend

Los Angeles - The jet ski driver who collided into Usher's stepson, leaving him brain dead, was reportedly a family friend.

Kyle Glover, was declared brain dead on Sunday following a tragic accident, and apparently the 11-year-old's mother knew the man in control of the vehicle.

According to an incident report from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), 38-year-old Jeffrey S Hubbard, was handling the water vehicle that crashed into Tameka Raymond's son.

He was critically injured along with an unidentified 15-year-old girl as they were being pulled on an inner tube by a boat on Atlanta's Lake Lanier, according to website MTV.com.

Officials have declined to speak on his condition, citing privacy issues.

'Completely devastated'

However Tameka spoke to website RadarOnline, saying: "He's bad."

Tameka and Usher got married in 2007, but divorced two years later in 2009 and are currently going through a custody battle. They are both reportedly at the hospital.

This tragedy comes a month after Usher released his latest album titled Looking 4 Myself .

A source close to 33-year-old singer told HollywoodLife.com: "Usher is completely devastated and shaken with what has occurred.

"(He) is emotionally drained from the accident. He feels incredibly awful, distraught...it's been a complete rollercoaster of emotions."
