WATCH: Perrie Edwards gets a cuddle from James Corden after opening up about Zayn Malik

Los Angeles - Perrie Edwards is "having an absolute blast" after splitting from Zayn Malik.

The former One Direction hunk dumped the Little Mix star last month after four years together, but the 22-year-old beauty has insisted she's staying positive thanks to her bandmates Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

Asked about life following the split, she said: "Do you know what? I'm good. I'm having an absolute blast in America, things are going so well, and I just wake up every day and I thank my lucky stars I have these three girls."

Despite Perrie's heartache, the band have been in the US promoting their new single Black Magic and were invited to join Taylor Swift on stage at her show in Santa Clara, California over the weekend, which they described as an "incredible" experience.

Leigh-Anne gushed: "It was incredible. Do you know what? She is the most loveliest person ever, she's so lovely."

And the girls revealed they were particularly excited about the surprise appearance at the Shake It Off singers concert, because she chartered a private jet just for them so they were able to hang out and have a "girly chat".

Speaking on The Late Late Show with James Corden, she added: "We flew back with her on the way back and it was so nice, we had a girly chat and it was wicked, she's so business-minded."
