What not to do when auditioning for a 1D tour according to Olivia Cooke

Los Angeles - Olivia Cooke did the splits for One Direction.

The 21-year-old actress has revealed when she auditioned for a part in the Drag Me Down hitmaker's tour, she ended up doing the splits and pulling a muscle.

She shared: "One of my first jobs was a video for a One Direction tour. I thought, 'Eurgh, a bunch of 13-year-old boys, I can't be bothered,' but it was £250 for a day's work.

"In the audition, they asked for a party trick, so I did the splits. I'm pretty sure I pulled something because I had to ask them to help me up. I probably only got the job because they felt sorry for me."

Olivia - who has gone on to star in Bates Motel and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - admitted that isn't the only time she's been asked to do something odd during an audition.

She explained to Marie Claire magazine: "I scared Sam Claflin in my audition for The Quiet Ones. The director came up to me and whispered, 'I want you to scare him'. In my head I was thinking, 'What the fuck am I going to do?' So I held his gaze and did this piercing scream and he leapt in the air."

And the brunette beauty has even been asked to balance on roller-skates during a photoshoot.

The actress added: "On Wikipedia, it says I do in-line rollerskating but that's such a lie. I once told a magazine that I'd got rollerblades for Christmas and all of a sudden, I'm on set in these bloody rollerblades posing and they're asking me to do tricks! I can stop and start but that's it."
