Los Angeles - Whitney Houston's former lover reportedly went "ballistic" after hearing an offensive comment about her on the night she died.
R&B singer Ray J, who dated the I Will Always Love You hitmaker in the months before her death, attempted to confront police officials and paramedics when he overheard crude remarks about Whitney being made as they attended to the scene of her death in February 2012.
TMZ reports Ray was at the Los Angeles hotel where Whitney was found dead and according to sources, he was outraged upon hearing a "disrespectful comment" followed by laughter in the late singer's hotel room and had to be restrained.
Inappropriate comments
After hearing more laughter, Ray J - who infamously starred in a sex tape with Kim Kardashian - reportedly "went nuts" and had to be removed.
The news follows recent claims that a Beverly Hills police official filed a complaint with the Los Angeles Labour Department because his sergeant made inappropriate comments about Whitney's dead body.
It is alleged the officer pulled a sheet covering the star below her nether regions and commented, "Damn, she's still looking good, huh?"
Law enforcement sources strenuously deny the claims. Whitney, who had a long history of drug abuse, died in a hotel bathtub from accidental drowning aged 48.
