Who is who in 'I am' lawsuit?

Will.i.am fight with Pharrell Williams over 'I am'
Los Angeles - Singer Pharrell Williams has taken on Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am around the phrase 'I am' that is trademarked by the latter.

Pharrell launched a YouTube channel in 2011 called I Am Other, but is facing a cease and desist order from Will.i.am, stating that he owns everything with the phrase 'I am'.

Pharrell counter-sued yesterday, saying that the phrase is too common and that they were referring to completely different things. He even quoted Dr Suess' Green Eggs and Ham to explain the way that Will.i.am uses it - "Sam I am/I am Sam."

Pharrell is using it in the phrase I am Other, stating that it means "I am something else." Another difference is the punctuation, which the Black Eyed Peas singer use extensively.

The Get Lucky singer hopes to get a judge to stop Will.i.am's suit in its tracks and giving him the freedom to use it in his YouTube marketing. According to TMZ, Will.i.am has not responded to the lawsuit, but left a cryptic Twitter message that could relate to the case:
