London - Britain's Prince William and Catherine are set to party with Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell during their visit to America.
The royal newlyweds - who will visit California on July 8 and 9 - will be guests of honour at a bash organised by Hollywood producer Steve Tisch which the X Factor boss and his star judge are said to be attending.
A source said: "This is the only dinner every major name is desperate to be at. The palace knows it would create huge interest but it's down to timing as Simon and Cheryl have hectic filming schedules."
Only 60 people are expected to be invited to what has been dubbed "the most exclusive Los Angeles dinner party of the decade", including director Guy Ritchie and big-name actors John Travolta and Tom Hanks.
During the stateside trip, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will take a whistle-stop tour of Yosemite National Park and the Big Sur coast before visiting a poverty programme and meeting up with Los Angeles-based David and Victoria Beckham, who attended their nuptials at Westminster Abbey.
