Several of his female admirers praised his good looks, but many were left bemused and disturbed by the picture and simply asked "why?"
Since leaving The Fugees in 1997 Wyclef, who has been married to his wife Marie Claudinette for 18 years, has enjoyed a solo career.
He claims the band split partially because of his disastrous liaison with bandmate Lauryn Hill, and alleges the singer told him he was the father of her baby when it was actually Rohan Marley's.
Wyclef insisted: "I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn't forgive that, she could no longer be my muse. Our love spell was broken."
