Cape Town – The nominees for this year's YOU Spectacular Awards have been released.
The event is scheduled to take place at The Teatro at Montecasino, Johannesburg on 28 July.
The award ceremony brings together some of the biggest stars in the South African showbiz industry as they look to win in the various categories.
Some of the awards up for grabs at this year's event include the award for the Sexiest Woman, Favourite Music Star, Favourite Newcomer and Favourite TV Presenter.
This year the public will also get to vote in a new category: Favourite Comedian.
Fans will also get to decide who gets to take home an award by voting for their favourite celebrities.
In last year's event popular Top Billing presenter Jeannie D walked away with three awards.
Fans who vote for their favourite star will also be in line for the big prize of a luxury holiday for two in Mauritius.
To vote, send an SMS with the letters YS and the code of your favourite star (see below for codes), as well as your name, surname and town to 32113 (for example: to vote for Graeme and Morgan Smith in the Favourite Couple category SMS YS 3A and your name and town to 32113).
You may vote as many times as you want and for more than one person in the same category, but each vote must be sent in a separate SMS. To vote on Facebook go to www.facebook.com/YOUmagazineSA and follow the instructions. Voting opened on 21 June.
