Los Angeles - Zayn Malik has dyed his hair green.

The former One Direction singer - who shaved his head in April - showed off his vivid locks in an Instagram post with fiancee Perrie Edwards.

The Little Mix star wasn't facing the camera in the picture, which shows them standing behind a table, but Zayn's face and new hair style were clear to see. He captioned the image: "#GreenHairDontCare (sic)"

It was previously claimed Zayn, 22, decided to shave his hair as a "cleansing ritual" following his departure from the chart-topping band.

A source said: "Zayn decided to shave his head as a cleansing ritual after all he's been through. He felt it signified a fresh start, and again distances him from his boy band days when he had floppy hair."

Despite his shorter locks attracting a lot of attention, the Little Things singer wasn't "bothered" about people's opinions.

A source said: "He's actually shaved his head before, and he thinks it suits him. So he's not bothered what people think about it, to be honest. It's very easy to manage and requires very little effort."
