Los Angeles - Zayn Malik met his oldest fan last Sunday, who just happened to be his grandmother-in-law-to-be.
The One Direction hunk enjoyed tea and cake with fiancée, Perrie Edwards’ 99-year-old grandmother, Jenny Gasston.
She said: "Zayn is absolutely lovely. It's the first time I've met him and I was thrilled we could meet." She added: "I love One Direction, my favourite song is 'Little Things'. I have got all their CDs but I didn't have them with me for Zayn to sign."
She also commented on Zayn and Perrie’s relationship, saying that they are wonderful together and wishing them luck for the future.
Zayn paid a surprise visit to the house in North East England, to spend time with Perrie and her family as both young singers are busy on tour and haven't spent much time together recently.
Jenny's son Stuart Gasston, who lives on the property with Perrie's grandmother, is quoted by MailOnline as saying: "Zayn was absolutely wonderful with her, we had to take plenty of pictures. He put her arm around her and everything. It was really nice for the kids to get together too."
He went on saying: "Little Mix are doing their arena tour and Zayn and One Direction are doing their stadium tour. Obviously this means that at the moment they don't really get to spend much time together."
He even shared a pic on instagram:
