Adele's mum camps at Glastonbury

Glastonbury - Adele's mum is camping at Glastonbury Festival.

The Hello hitmaker's mother Penny Adkin has been put up in the luxury Green Fields campsite on Worthy Farm, Somerset, since Friday because she insisted on experiencing the music extravaganza ''in full'' and wanted to be close to the action.

A source told Mirror Celeb: ''Penny loves a party just as much as Adele and she wouldn't miss her headlining Glastonbury for the world. She wants the full experience and is camping in the Green Fields with some of the staff.''

It's set to be a big night for Penny, who will be looking forward to seeing her 28-year-old daughter headline on the Pyramid stage.

Here's a picture of the Adele on the famous stage, posted by her make-up artist Michael Ashton:

This is Adele's first time performing at the festival and Penny could easily have opted to stay with her daughter in a five star hotel off-site and sleep in a comfy bed, but the enthusiastic mum wanted to get stuck in and mingle will the 175,000 fans who have flocked to the site this weekend.

The source added: ''She always supports Adele at her gigs but this is going to be a special night for her watching her daughter headline the Pyramid Stage.

''Penny is very laid back and even though she could have been put up in a house nearby she chose to really get involved.''
Meanwhile, it's highly unlikely Adele has subjected herself to bedding down in a sleeping bag with just a flimsy tent between her and the night's sky.

The star has loaded up with four suitcases for the trip and her make-up artist Michael Ashton shared a picture of her and the luggage on their way to Glastonbury on Friday.

He wrote on Instagram: ''just a few essentials packed for #Glastonbury ..... (sic)''.

Adele is joined by her partner Simon Konecki, who was spotted roaming around the site earlier in the week.

A source revealed: ''Simon was smoking in the hospitality area... Nobody recognised him. It was amusing to see fans walking past him singing Adele's Hello. He was beaming."

Lady Gaga, Alexa Chung, Fearne Cotton, Millie Mackintosh and Niall Horan have all been spotted braving the muddy fields of the festival to watch acts which include Muse, Wold Alice, Tame Impala and Coldplay over the course of the four day event.
