Amber Heard did not give her testimony at deposition against Johnny Depp

Los Angeles - Amber Heard never entered the room for her deposition on Saturday.

The 30-year-old actress had been due to be questioned under oath in her divorce and domestic violence case against estranged husband Johnny Depp, and though she was seen arriving at the Los Angeles offices of the Pirates of the Caribbean star's lawyer, Laura Wasser, she didn't spend any time in the conference room where she was due to enter testimony.

According to TMZ, the room was set up with a videographer and court reporter, but Amber spent the day in a nearby office.

The Magic Mike XXL actress arrived at the building at around 11:30  - 90 minutes later than planned - and didn't leave until 21:00, with sources telling the site she was in negotiations about a settlement.

However, no deal was struck.

It is not clear why Amber wasn't deposed.

Last month, lawyers acting for the Danish Girl star accused Johnny, 53, of delaying their divorce by insisting she signs a non-disclosure agreement before he would submit documents about his financial status.

In legal documents, her team claimed the Mortdecai star is deliberately trying to stop the divorce from going ahead quickly and quietly after he told the actress there would be a $100 000 fine for every time any financial information was leaked.

Documents from Johnny's lawyer claimed Amber has already shared information about the couple to the media.

Meanwhile, Amber currently has a temporary restraining order against Johnny after she claimed he attacked her with an iPhone, leaving her with a bruised eye. She also alleges that ''during the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive'' to her.

The pair announced their divorce in May after just 15 months of marriage.
