Cape Town – Amber Heard is yet to donate the $7m she was due to receive after splitting with Johnny Depp to charity, but for a good reason.
The divorce hasn’t been finalised yet.
TMZ reported the 30-year-old reportedly agreed to give the large sum to the Children's Hospital and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) domestic violence unit, but three months have passed and Amber has yet to make a contribution.
Meanwhile Amber’s attorney told E! News no donations have been made because the former couple have yet to sign the final settlement documents.
Another reason is because Johnny would rather pay the sum directly to the charities, whilst Amber wants to receive her part first before sending it on to the ACLU and Children's Hospital to avoid Johnny from getting a tax deduction.
Amber and Johnny came up with the agreement in August this year after Amber claimed Johnny was "verbally and physically abusive" to her during the course of their relationship.
Although the dark-haired hunk has previously donated the first instalment of $200k equally to both organisations, the companies have yet to receive any money since.
