Amber Heard's restraining order against Johnny Depp extended

Los Angeles - Amber Heard's restraining order against Johnny Depp has been extended.

The Magic Mike XXL star filed for the court order against her estranged husband at the end of May after filing for divorce from Johnny a few days earlier.

The restraining order - which was originally granted when Amber claimed Johnny threw an iPhone at her face - will stay in place now until 15 August.

Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that Johnny and Amber's court hearing on Friday, 17 June has been postponed and no new date has yet been set.
And Amber's friend iO Tillett Wright previously claimed Johnny had attacked the 30-year-old actress "many times".

She said: "I called 911 because she never would. I was on the phone with both of them and heard it drop, heard him say, 'What if I pulled your hair back?' and her scream for my help, I wondered like so many times before if I should break the code of silence that surrounds celebrities and invite the police into the situation.

"Every time it happened, her first thought was about protecting him... I know this because I went to their house. I saw the pillow with my own eyes. I saw the busted lip and the clumps of hair on the floor."

Wright also went on to say the Pirates of the Caribbean star was like a "brother" to her at one stage of her life.

She added: "He had been my friend, too, a person I loved very much. A person I had once referred to as a brother ... I knew him to be soft and gentle, with a temper and a dark side, but a golden heart. I didn't want to believe it either, until I saw the wreckage."

Johnny has always denied the claims made against him, with his lawyer claiming the allegations were made "in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week".
