Angelina Jolie gives her first lecture in London

Cape Town – Angelina Jolie has started yet another new venture in her career, as a visiting professor at the London School of Economics.

The humanitarian gave her first lecture on Tuesday at the Centre for Women, Peace and Security, where she is reportedly gearing up to begin teaching a master’s course in September.

According to People Angie’s lecture centred on women’s rights and the state thereof, as well as further discussions about refugee camps and how women and girls are made vulnerable to sexual violence and other crimes.

Speaking to an LSE student, E! News reported that all the students on campus were filled with excitement and searched the grounds looking for Angelina.

The student added that Angie’s master’s course is small and will consist of five classes with one lecture per week.

Angelina opened and launched the Centre for Women, Peace and Security in 2015 with the hopes that the centre at the London School of Economics will help boost the global campaign for women's rights.
