Beyoncé breaks the internet with record setting pregnancy announcement

Cape Town – Beyoncé is pregnant with not one, but two babies and as you would expect the happy news broke the internet.

The Formation hitmaker on Instagram on Monday night announced she and Jay Z - who already have 5-year-old Blue ivy - are expecting twins and has since broken any and every social media record you can think of.

The beautiful snap of Bey cradling her growing baby bump became the most liked Instagram post in minutes, beating Selena Gomez with more than 6.8 million likes in only 9 hours, E! News reports.

But Queen Bey’s fandom didn’t stop there. According to AFP the Beyhive got in formation and within 45 minutes of her announcement made her Twitter’s top trending item in the world.
