Cape Town – All you seasoned bidders out there, watch out because 6-year-old Blue Ivy is here and bidding high.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s eldest daughter played the bidding game on Saturday at the 2018 Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles, organised by Bey's mom Tina Knowles and her husband Richard Lawson.
Sitting snug between her mom and dad, Blue raised her hand for a $17k bid when an acrylic painting of a young Sidney Poitier went on sale starting at $10k.
Host Star Jones welcomed Blue’s bid with open arms, even convincing her to go up to $19k.
“Her [Blue] mother and father have been talking about how you gather art and that is a big deal for African Americans. Listen, you know Ms. Tina told me all of this. Why you think I'm up here talking about it?” Star told the audience.
According to E! News, Blue lost out to Tyler Perry, who won the bid with $20k.
