Busted! Kim Kardashian exposes Taylor Swift’s lies on Snapchat

Cape Town – Kim Kardashian West just hit the final nail in the coffin and Taylor Swift’s squeaky clean image could be tainted.

The reality TV star exposed the Shake It Off hitmaker in a series of Snapchats on Sunday night.

In the snaps, Kanye West is heard chatting to Taylor about the lyrics to his song, Famous. The same lyrics that Taylor claimed to know nothing about.

How it all started

Following the release of Kanye’s latest hit, Famous, Taylor Swift – who he has had a love/hate relationship with since 2009 – spoke out against the lyrics of Kanye's rap.

The lyrics are: "For all my Southside niggas that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous / God damn / I made that bitch famous."

Kanye then revealed he contacted Swift beforehand to get her approval. Swift denied ever having a conversation about the track before its release.

In a recent GQ interview Kim Kardashian West came to the defense of her husband saying Taylor gave Kanye the OK, and that "Rick Rubin was there… I don’t know why Taylor just, you know, flipped all of a sudden… It was funny because on the call with Kanye, Taylor said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I’m so against this, and I’ll just laugh and say, ‘The joke’s on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.’"

In the latest episode of KUWTK, Kim is filmed talking about what happened to her sister Kourtney. In a video clip Kim says: "I never talk shit about anyone publicly, especially in interviews. But I was just like I had so had it. I just felt like I wanted to defend him in it because it's like, she legitimately said, 'As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet I'm gonna tell all the press. Like I was in on it.'

"And you know just another way to play the victim. It definitely got her a lot of attention the first time. I just don't think he should be punished for it still to this day."

Just before the episode aired, Kim teased a big reveal on Twitter by urging fans to follow her on Snapchat only to find she released the recordings Kanye claimed were real all this time.

Here’s the recording

Kanye first reads "For all my south side niggas that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex", to Taylor, to which she replies, "I’m like this close to overexposure".

The conversation continues and Taylor is heard telling Kanye that including her in the song is "a compliment, kind of".

She then goes on to thank Kanye for respecting her enough to call her and get her approval. She tells Kanye, "Aw, thanks! Yeah I really appreciate it. Like, the heads up is so nice!"

Towards the end of the phone call, Taylor also tells Kanye she will tell everyone on the Grammy’s red carpet she knew about the song.

She says, "And you know, if people ask me about it,I think it would be great for me to be like, ‘look, he called me and told me about the line before it came out. Like, joke’s on you guys, we’re fine. You guys wanna call this a feud, you wanna call this throwing shade.’

"But right after the song comes out, I’m gonna be on a Grammy red carpet and they’re gonna ask me about it. And I’m gonna be like, ‘he called me.’"

Taylor's response

Taylor has since responded by tweeting a statement about Kim’s snaps, she captioned the tweet, "That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet (sic)"

In the statement Taylor wrote: "Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that bitch’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened.

"You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that bitch’ in front of the entire world...

"Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination. I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be part of, since 2009."
