Los Angeles - Britney Spears received giant birthday balloons from Miley Cyrus on Wednesday.
The pop superstar turned 34 on Thursday and was sent the "awesome" gift by the Wrecking Ball hitmaker, which included seven huge silver alphabet letters that spelled out "BRITNEY".
The Toxic star was thrilled with the surprise and took to Instagram to thank her pal for the amazing gift.
Beside a photograph of family and friends, including sons Sean, 10, and Jayden, nine, standing beneath the balloons, she penned; "Had the CUTEST surprise party today!!! A special thank you to Miss Miley Cyrus for sending these awesome balloons! (sic)"
The photo also revealed a living room decked out with presents and Britney wearing a gorgeous birthday crown.
The blonde beauty was also treated to a cream two-tiered cake with a tea pot sitting on the top which was laid out with cupcakes beneath a magnificent chandelier, while Spongebob Squarepants played on the TV in the background.
Meanwhile, the birthday girl added a special "Thank You" to her 6.4 million Instagram followers.
She wrote: "Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! I loved reading them just as much as I loved my teacup cake."
