Cape Town - Justin Bieber’s mom approves!

Pattie Mallette, who attended the Justice Speaks Holiday Benefit Luncheon in LA on Saturday, had nothing but praise for her son's rumoured girlfriend Selena Gomez (25), who’s been dating Justin (23) on and off since 2010.

"I don't know so much about their personal relationship because he doesn't share a whole lot, but I love her," Pattie told People Magazine.

"I support anything [he does]. If he loves her, I love her, and I've met her and we have a special bond so I think she's precious.

"I can't really speak on their relationship, that's between them.”

The 41-year-old, who was a keynote speaker at the event, also revealed that Justin is currently trying to find the right balance in his life and is learning how to deal with the pressures that come with being famous.

“I think he’s just keeping his focus on God, and really trying to figure out what counts and what matters.

“He’s trying to be somehow normal in such an abnormal world, trying to find that balance. I feel like he’s growing up and I’m really proud of him,” she says.

Pattie also mentioned that having someone in his life keeps him grounded.

“I think there’s so much confusion sometimes and facade in this Hollywood world, and so it’s important for us to find the ones that truly care and stick with them.”

The Never Say Never singer, who has yet to comment on his relationship with Selena, attended the celebrity event with his mom.

Back in 2012, the proud mom sang Selena’s praises on The Ellen Show saying the lovebirds, who were trying to keep their relationship ‘low key’, were a perfect match.

“Seriously, how can you not like her? I mean you've met her,” she told Ellen. “She's so sweet.”

“She's good for him and they're great together.”

The single mom also tweeted Selena, who was on a break to deal with her serious health issues in 2016, wishing her a Happy Birthday, reports E! Online.

“A birdie told me it was your birthday @selenagomez,” she wrote. “Many tweets from the bird or may have been several birds maybe? #HappyBirthdaySelena.”
