Los Angeles - Jennifer Lopez says handling her personal and professional commitments is a "juggling act".
The 46-year-old star has been kept busy in recent months shooting her TV show Shades of Blue and rehearsing for her Las Vegas residency, as well as looking after her seven-year-old twins Max and Emme.
And she admits balancing thinks can often be "overwhelming".
She said: "I take it step by step and day by day and everyone in my life knows the commitments I have - it was super overwhelming!
"Before getting to the American Music Awards in November last year, and after we created the show, and after we filmed Shades of Blue, and then filming Idols on the weekends ... I was like, 'Maybe this is the first time I bit off more than I could chew.' But you know what, I take it day by day and I have an incredible support system."
Jennifer kicked off her Planet Hollywood residency earlier this week, and is now focused on both providing an entertaining show for her fans while also giving herself time to chill out.
She told HollywoodLife.com of the prospect of getting burnt out: "I don't want to get to that point ever. I want to enjoy what I am doing. I want to enjoy my life with my kids - So it is a juggling act."
