Los Angeles - Johnny Depp is "super-tight" with his daughter.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is really close with 16-year-old Lily-Rose and insists he wasn't at all surprised when she revealed on Instagram she was sexually fluid.
Lily-Rose featured on artist/activist iO Tillett Wright's instagram with the caption: "I'm so proud of my baby girl @lilyrose_depp. She decided she wanted to be in @selfevidentproject because she falls somewhere on the vast spectrum, and I couldn't be happier to welcome her to the family. She's a tiny gem of a good human. #prouduncle #weareyou (sic)."
Johnny Depp said: "She's got thousands of followers on social media, and they were all taken completely by surprise. But not me. I already knew because she tells me everything - she's not afraid to say anything to me. We're super-tight and I'm very proud of our relationship.
"And, whatever she is doing, if she needs any advice, I'm there for her. Kids are going to make their own decisions, but I guess that the only thing you can do as a parent is to offer support. And I do."
The 52-year-old actor - who also has 13-year-old Jack with ex-partner Vanessa Paradis - admits he will always "worry" about his little girl, no matter how old she gets.
He added to the Daily Mail newspaper: "It's such a funny thing when you see your daughter transitioning from your baby, your little girl, to suddenly being a young woman.
"If you're not really looking for it, you can miss it, and Lily-Rose is on that road already and there's nothing I can do to stop it ... No matter how grown up she gets, I'll never stop worrying about her. It's a father-daughter thing."
