Los Angeles - Kanye West has allegedly fired a security guard after he caught him trying to talk to his wife Kim Kardashian West.
The 39-year-old rapper reportedly flew into a fit of rage and dramatically sacked Steve Stanulis on Monday, just before the Met Gala, after he got upset about him chatting to the brunette beauty outside her hotel room at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
A eyewitness told the New York Daily News' Confidenti@l column: 'Something happened at the Waldorf Astoria where Kanye just lost it."
It's believed Kanye locked horns with Mr. Stanulis - who has previously protected the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Alanis Morissette - after he came out of his room on the 36th floor of the establishment - adjacent to his wife's abode - and saw the muscle man handing the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star a package that had arrived at reception for her.
According to another onlooker, the Bound 2 hitmaker screeched: "This isn't right!"
The bodyguard - who was formerly a member of the New York Police Department - was reportedly dropped from the team a few hours later but has since poured cold water on rumours he was flirting with the reality TV star in front of her husband.
He told the publication: "I'm a happily married man with three children and I have no comment."
