Khloe Kardashian: Staph infection is no joke

Los Angeles – Khloé Kardashian's staph infection was "exacerbated by stress".

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has revealed the illness she is currently battling - which she is thought to have picked up whilst visiting her estranged husband Lamar Odom in hospital - has only been made worse by the stresses she currently has.

She wrote on Twitter: "Staph infection is no joke. Mine was exacerbated by stress which is not a great combo. I'm under great medical care&receiving tons of love!

"Please everyone take care of yourselves and pay attention to your bodies!! Be kind and loving to one another! It goes a long way!!

"I appreciate all of your prayers, well wishes and love being sent my way. I'll be better very soon. I love you guys (sic)"

Khloe's sister Kourtney Kardashian later also confirmed her she is recovering from the infection.

Kourtney told E! News: "She's good. She's OK. She's not feeling well, but she's OK."

Khloe's illness reportedly sent her mother Kris Jenner "into a panic and left her freaked out" asKris's father Robert Houghton died of a staph infection that he picked up after a car crash in 1975.

Khloe's sister Kim Kardashian West has been ordered not to visit her younger sibling because she is eight months pregnant and doctors have deemed it too dangerous.

Meanwhile, Khloe blamed her recent Twitter rant on "antibiotics and painkillers".

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star hit out at critics on social media who said she should chose between her current boyfriend James Harden and estranged husband Lamar Odom but later claimed the medication she is currently taking for her infection had influenced her rant.

She tweeted: "antibiotics + painkillers + tweeting does not equal anything good.(sic)"
