Kim Kardashian West cancels a public appearance

Los Angeles - Kim Kardashian West has pulled out of a public appearance scheduled for next week.

The 35-year-old beauty was supposed to join her make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic for a masterclass in Dubai on 14 October, but after being robbed at gunpoint in Paris earlier this week, the event will no longer be going ahead.

Mario posted a statement on Instagram which read: "Dear Dubai Masterclass Attendees, On behalf of myself and Kim Kardashian West, please accept our apologies. We are sorry to inform you that due to the recent events, we will be rescheduling the Dubai Masterclass with Kim Kardashian West.

"We understand the inconvenience that this has caused you. You will have the option to cancel and receive a full refund, or we can hold the ticket for the rescheduled date. Rescheduling details will be sent out within the week.

"We deeply and sincerely apologise from the bottom of our hearts. We truly hope you all understand the decision we had to make and look forward to our upcoming class. We will update you via email and TheMasterClass.com. (sic)"

Meanwhile, Kim's bodyguard, Pascal Douvier - who was out with her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner at the time of the robbery - sparked speculation he had been fired after removing all traces of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star from his Instagram account.

However, insiders told TMZ that Kim and her husband Kanye West don't blame him for what happened and still trust Pascal implicitly.

Instead, the security guard removed the pictures as a safety measure in order to prevent any future would-be attackers from contacting him or learning more information about Kim's whereabouts.

Kim - who has children North, three, and Saint, nine months, with Kanye - was left tied up and locked in her bathroom as she had $10m worth of jewellery stolen in the terrifying incident.
