Kim Kardashian’s new fragrance line sold out even before most customers had smelled it!

Cape Town - Kim Kardashian West’s fragrance line has barely been on sale for a week – but the reality star’s debut scents have already sold out!

According to her KKW Fragrance Instagram account, online stocks of the fragrances sold out within a matter of days.

On launch day alone she raked in $10m (about R145m) worth of sales – without people even knowing what the fragrances smell like, Glamour reports.

But it’s not too late for those who still want to order the fragrances. On Wednesday, the brand uploaded a photo of all three scents, saying that they have been restocked.

The collection consists of three floral fragrances: Crystal Gardenia, Crystal Gardenia Citrus and Crystal Gardenia Oud.

The bottles are shaped like crystals. Kim told PeopleStyle her inspiration for the bottle design came from friends who’d brought her healing stones after her Paris robbery ordeal in October last year.

“It all started when everyone would come over and bring me healing crystals at a time in my life where I needed some healing.

“I really loved the idea of being so pure and taking that time to do what makes you happy and heal from everything you have going on in this crazy, chaotic life.

“I just wanted to create fragrances that made me feel happy and calm,” Kim said in the interview.

According to New Age, Kim opted to promote the launch solely through social media. It makes sense, considering she has more than 57 million followers on Twitter and 104 million on Instagram!

Clearly it’s a marketing strategy that worked for her.
